Head of Sixth Form: Ms S Calverley

As Head of Sixth Form, Ms Calverley has overall responsibility for the academic and pastoral wellbeing of our students. "I believe I have one of the best jobs in the school, and feel privileged to be able to work with students at one of the most exciting phases of their education." Sara has over 15 years experience of supporting students in preparing for life beyond KS5. She is also a qualified mental health first aider. Prior to taking on the Head of Sixth Form role, she has been a Head of Year and Head of Social Sciences, working in a number of outstanding schools, both in the UK and internationally.  In addition to her role as Head of Sixth Form, she also teaches Sociology and Psychology and delivers the EPQ qualification.

Assistant Head of Sixth Form: Mr D Thompson

As Assistant Head of Sixth Form, Mr Thompson has responsibility primarily for Year 12. Dan has been a member of the Sixth Form team for 8 years and he has extensive knowledge of careers and enterprise opportunities. Aside from this role, he is a Business Studies, Computing and lead Economics teacher. 

Sixth Form Manager: Mrs P Akhtar

As Sixth Form Manager, Mrs Akhtar has pastoral responsibility for both Year 12 and Year 13 students and supports the Head and Assistant Head of Sixth Form. With over 20 years of experience in management and working with young people in pastoral roles, she is highly involved with the UCAS process and developing enrichment opportunities for our students.
