November 2025 - Comedy Night
This was a fantastic night, with over a hundred parents and friends turning up to support our second ever Comedy Night.Thank you so much to everyone who laughed with us on the night and a huge thank you to our four acts: Paul Revill (for keeping us warm), Olaf Falafel (for reading our minds), President Obonjo (for taking us out of Harpenden), and Stephen Bailey (for pushing us to our limits)!
March 2025 - Quiz Night
Another fantastic Quiz Night, with everyone having a lot of fun and enjoying a great evening together. There was plenty of laughter, teamwork and healthy competition, making it a thoroughly enjoyable event for all involved.
November 2023 - Wine Tasting Evening
A lot of fun was had by all at our Wine Tasting Evening. Our guests were entertained and thoroughly impressed by the very talented Year 11 Jazz Ensemble, who provided a fantastic start to the evening. Everyone then enjoyed tasting five amazing wines chosen by Flagship Wines in St Albans, who guided us through the tasting.
November 2021 – this was the first opportunity to welcome year 7 and 8 parents onto the site having been kept away as a result of the pandemic. We held a very enjoyable wine and beer tasting event, the first event run by the new committee. Definitely an event to be repeated but we learnt that the ambience of the school canteen needs some work so we’ll be prepared with the remote control for the lighting for future events!
FESTIVAL ON THE FIELD - This incredible and extremely popular event is held every two years and has its own special committee. After two cancellations, this year’s Festival featured a number of great tribute bands as well as Stratton 5 – all students of SJL.
