Teacher of English/Media

Maternity cover  • MPS plus fringe allowance • Required September 2017

We are looking for an excellent English/Media teacher to join a highly successful team that consistently achieves some of the best GCSE, A level and BTEC results in the country, twice winning ‘The Good Schools Guide’ award for A level achievement. Our Media facilities, including a film studio and suite of Mac computers, are impressive, so it is desirable for you to have excellent production skills.

Cover Supervisor

H4 £18,126 - £19,817 pa pro rata inc Fringe (actual salary £13,558 - £14,823 pa in fringe)

32.5 hours per week  • Term-time only + 5 days inset • Required September 2017

A Cover Supervisor is required to join our talented support staff team and provide cover for pre-prepared lessons for classes of up to 30 students in the absence of teaching staff. You will also assist Heads of Year in their pastoral role and provide admin support when cover is not required. Training will be available.
 
To be successful, you will be a supportive, enthusiastic and reliable colleague. Relevant school experience would be an advantage, as well as a basic knowledge of IT programmmes.

Science Technician

H3 £17,366 - £18,357 pa pro rata inc Fringe

37 hours per week  • Term-time only + 5 days inset • Required September 2017

Working hours are 8.30am-4.30pm 4 days and 8.30am-4.00pm 1 day. These hours are a pre-requisite to meet the needs of the post.
 
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, flexible and well-motivated and work as part of a team to ensure apparatus and chemicals are available and prepared in advance to support the science teachers.  You will also provide administrative support to the teaching staff in connection with all practical aspects of the subject. A background in science would be advantageous.
