Assistant Headteacher

Head of MFL Faculty

TLR1b • Required for September 2017

Following the appointment of the current postholder to a senior leadership position, we are looking to appoint an exceptional Head of MFL to provide professional leadership and management of our successful Modern Languages faculty. The faculty teaches French and German to Years 7–13 and Spanish to Years 9 -11.  We have excellent facilities, thriving GCSE and A level groups and achieve impressive results. For this post, an ability to teach German to A level would be a strong advantage.
 
As Lead School in the Alban Teaching School Alliance, we can offer supportive induction and professional development programmes recognising that our staff are the key to our success.

Finance/Admin Assistant

H3 £17,366 - £18,357 pa including outer fringe 

Actual salary for 18 hours £6,946 - £7,343 per annum  

Working hours are Mon, Tues, Weds 10.00am – 16.30pm. These hours are a pre-requisite to meet the needs of the post.

We are seeking to appoint an organised and committed Finance/Admin Assistant to join our small and friendly Finance Team based at Sir John Lawes School.
 
Your duties will include assisting to run the school shop, stock ordering, lunch tokens, administrative support and providing back-up for main reception.
 
Applicants need to be enthusiastic self-starters with relevant finance/admin experience. You must be able to work in a busy environment and interact confidently with students in our school shop.  Training and support will be provided for the successful candidate.

Evening Caretaker

FIXED TERM CONTRACT

H4 £18,126 - £19,817 pa including outer fringe 

5.5 hours per day Mon-Fri (4.00-9.30pm)

3 days will be considered for the right candidate

An opportunity has arisen for a reliable, experienced and enthusiastic person to join our premises staff on a 3 month fixed term basis. He/she will have responsibility for ensuring the school is ready for occupation and for locking up. They will provide a clean, healthy and safe environment for users of the school buildings and grounds.
 
The main purpose of this role is to carry out on site support to the school community facilitating extra-curricular activities and onsite visitors. Practical DIY skills would be advantageous.  You will be required to assist the Site team with general site maintenance duties. An ability to support the implementation of relevant policies including Health and Safety and CoSHH would be an advantage.
 
The successful applicant should be a good communicator and happy to work as part of a small team but also to work on their own initiative.  A flexible approach is very important.
